John Kasich officially suspend his campaign for president today leaving many to speculate if the decision was due to the prospect of being the GOP vice president. Further fueling that speculation was Donald Trump, who told CNN that he was interested in vetting Kasich as a potential vice presidential running mate. "I like John, I've had a good relationship with John, I've gotten along with him well," Donald Trump said. Trump added that he thought Kasich could be an asset in a general election against Hillary Clinton. Many believe that Trump’s desire to partner with Kasich is because of the importance of Ohio, Kasich’s home state and the only primary Kasich won. Ohio is a pivotal state for both the Republicans and Democrats in the general election.
