Women may soon be drafted into the military after the House passed a defense policy bill 60-2, which included a provision that women would be required to register for the draft. The provision comes months after the Defense Department lifted all gender-based restrictions on the front-line combat units. The US hasn’t had a military draft since the Vietnam War era in 1973.
